　 Although Tongshenghu International Experimental School has only about seven years’ history, it has achieved a great deal. Most students have made significant progress in behavior, habits, academics and moral aptitude. The teachers and students have won many prizes during competitions at national, provincial and municipal levels. Up to date, there are 1000 students who took and passed the Cambridge Young Learners English Test. The student performance in the tests exceeded in Hunan Province. More than 500 junior high school students has taken the National Public English Testing System (PETS) from September, 2003. About 40 students took the AS tests. About 200 students took the IELTS. We have already established close relationships not only with institutions in Australia, the UK,the USA and Canada, but also with leading domestic universities such as Qinghua University and Beijing University. Therefore, the students in our school have greater opportunities to go abroad and to attend both domestic and foreign universities.

The average age of the teachers is 33.2.
