Cambridge General Certificate of Education (GCE) O-Level Course Introduced to the School

In July 10th, 2003, the school introduced GCE O-Level Course in cooperation with the TMC Education Group, Singapore.

Backgrounds Material- The General Certificate of Education is an internationally recognised achievement at secondary level. Examinations are set by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).O-level or Ordinary level examinations are usually taken after five years of secondary education and students generally take a number of arts and science subjects.

The General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) is the national school-leaving examination in several countries, including Singapore, Brunei and Mauritius (where it is taken as a 'group' examination - the Cambridge School Certificate). It is also widely taken in anglophone African countries and in Pakistan.

O Levels are normally taken in 7-9 subjects across the curriculum at the end of eleven years of education. The courses usually require 150 hours of teaching over two years and grading is on a five-point scale, A-E. Universities in many countries, including Canada and the USA, will admit students on the basis of their O Level performances alone.
