A Special Hearty Thanks to the Previously Employed TEFL Teachers

On the occasion that the school was awarded as the “Nation’s Advanced Unit in Foreign Experts Recruitment and Administration”, the school and Alex Zhang would like to extend the sincere appreciation and gratitude to the TEFL teachers who worked at Tongshenghu International Experimental School and gave assistance to the School in recruiting the TEFL teachers and suggestion on administration of teachers.

Karen and Joe Brazas, an American couple, worked at the school during the fall semester of 2002. Their classes and personal characters were well received by the students and teachers. Beside the classroom instruction, Karen Brazas made an Oral English curriculum and wrote an English Writing Handbook for the school. Prior to their departure, they wrote observations on the school’s development and administration. Since their return to the US, they have been keeping in close contact with, as well as promoting the school.

Tommy Walker, who worked at here between July 2001 and July 2002, was very popular among the students. His vivid body language is still recalled very fondly by the students. His patience, flexibility, and sense of responsibility was highly spoken of by the school staff. Since he returned to the US, he has been assisting the school in recruiting qualified and experienced teachers.

Emily Besley and Jordan Johnson, who were the graduates from Calamazoo College, worked at here between November 2002 and July 2003. They kept their positions even during the SARS period. They helped the school contact the Students Career Development Office of their college.

Yavar Moghimi, who worked at here between July, 2002 and June, 2003, gave very helpful and practical suggestions regarding teacher recruitment.

Wally Kolar and Jordan Arran, two Canadian teachers who worked at here for one year, helped the school put advertisements on the website for the first time.

Judy Underwood, who established her own website named “ A Year In China”, gave a lot of assistance in establishing the English website of the school. She sent one student a package full of 18 books and lots of school supplies.
